Our Purpose
Today, leadership training is more relevant than ever. In our current world where crises on many levels effect us to an even greater extent, it is vital that leaders cultivate a supportive and communicative culture that will inspire confidence and motivation in their employees. Training can enable leaders to gain these skills through new learning. Leaders who take our training will improve communication by learning and applying the essentials 7 Cs of communication in various modalities. Through our instruction they will also identify strategies for de-escalation during conflict to effectively resolve difficult situations. These are vital and necessary skills in any leadership position.

This course will target new or aspiring managers working in a corporate environment or any person in a management position who wants to improve their communication and conflict resolution skills and will be available to the public.

We deliver our courses in an self-paced series of online modules that can conveniently and easily work with any busy schedule. Each module will address one aspect of leadership and include examples and scenarios for participants to practice. Participants will be assessed for each module as well as a final assessment.
Our Process

Goal for Module 1
New managers will select appropriate modes of communication and craft messages using the 7Cs (clarity, correctness, courteous, completeness, conciseness, concreteness, and consideration)
Goal for Module 2
New managers will proactively identify and address sources of conflict by applying de-escalation techniques that support continued community cooperation.

Our Team
Kristi Powitsky
Kristi earned a BA in communication from Texas A&M and a degree in Education from the University of Houston at Clear Lake. She is currently pursuing a master's degree in Instructional Systems Design and Technology at Sam Houston State University. Her educational experience includes curriculum development and design for grades K-12, as well as developing adult training materials. Using proven learning theory, she develops engaging, meaningful, and relevant course materials to facilitate learning.
Team Lead: Tracy Kornienko
Tracy has 12 years of experience working in Higher Education. During this time, she has worked to support online learning which has given her a unique perspective on the process of successfully utilizing technology to deliver and augment curriculum from both the technical support and instructional design perspectives. She is passionate about creating highly dynamic and immersive learning experiences for students and a technologically smooth delivery process for instructors. Tracy has a bachelor’s degree in information technology from Hallmark University and is currently working on a master’s degree in instructional systems design and technology at SHSU.
Brooke Leone
Brooke started her career as a high school science teacher in 2016. As a teacher, Brooke found a passion for professional and leadership development. That passion has driven her career and education in a new direction. She is currently pursuing a Masters in Instructional Systems Design and Technology from Sam Houston State University. Recently, she left education for corporate instructional design where she hopes to lead and inspire adult learners.
Jessica Lewis
Jessica has 20 years experience in the learning field. She taught 10 years of Psychology at the Junior College level and has been designing corporate training courses for Molina Healthcare for the last 10 years. She is currently pursuing a Masters in Instructional Systems Design & Technology at Sam Houston State University and will be continuing her education at Sam Houston for a Doctorate in Education.
